For creating the needs of higher educational needs Amguri College was established in the year of 17th July, 1967. The Amguri College Library had starts its journey from the college establishment year. Mr. Bhadreswar Gogoi was the establishment librarian of the Amguri College Library. In 2014 , as per decision the Amguri College Governing Body the Library was renamed as “THANESWAR DUTTA LIBRARY".
